Old Schoolhouse Museum in Twentynine Palms

The Old Schoolhouse Museum at 6760 National Park Drive preserves the history of Twentynine Palms and the greater Morongo Basin. Operated by the Twentynine Palms Historical Society, the museum offers a 1920s-era schoolroom, historical exhibits, artifacts and a gift shop. Admission is free; donations are welcome. The grounds also include a research library, Founders Hall and a garage housing the Hastie Bus. Museum and gift shop hours are Wednesday–Sunday, 1–4 p.m., September–May, and Friday–Sunday, 1–4 p.m., June–August. The gallery includes present-day exterior and gift-shop views alongside clearly labeled historical photographs shared by the Society.
